A seasoned freeloader

The train car to New York City separates at the Albany-Rennselaer Station in Upstate New York. The remainder of the train continues to Boston.

“New York? Boston?” the Amtrak conductor asked every passenger heading to points east.

“New York,” I responded.

“Next car,” the shortish and wide woman in a blue shirt said while pointing down the way.

“New York? Boston?” the conductor loading the next car asked.
